Did You Know?

Pregnancy . . .

The word will either fill you with joy or terrify you. You owe it to yourself to take the time to make an informed decision about your pregnancy.

Your freedom to choose does not have to end in death. There are at least two other alternatives. You may choose to raise your baby or give a loving couple that opportunity.

Consider Your Choices

Adoption vs. Abortion . . .

Similarities:

bullet

You can pursue earlier goals and plans.

bullet

You can live independently.

bullet

You will not have to parent prematurely.

bullet

You will be free from the financial burdens of parenting.

bullet

You will avoid being forced into a hasty marriage or being a single parent.

bullet

If you are a teenager, you can resume your youthful lifestyle.

Differences:

bullet

Your pregnancy will end in life (adoption) or death (abortion).

bullet

You will remember giving birth (adoption) or taking a life (abortion).

bullet

You will have plenty of time to plan (adoption) or realize your decision is final and there is no turning back (abortion).

bullet

You can hold, name, and love your baby (adoption) or never know or treasure your baby (abortion).

bullet

You can have continued contact with your baby (adoption) or know that you missed a very real opportunity to see your child at all (abortion).

MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR YOUR LIFE!

Consider Your Choices

If you have a positive pregnancy test, you have three choices to consider:

1. Abortion

If you're thinking about finding an abortion clinic, it is important to remember that abortion is a medical procedure. What type will you have? What are the risks? You deserve to know the facts. You owe it to yourself to make an informed decision.

Perhaps you're thinking:

bullet

The father is insisting on an abortion.

bullet

I'm not ready to be a parent.

bullet

I can't tell anyone I'm pregnant.

We know exactly how you feel, and you're not alone. Many of our staff have been where you are. If you're considering abortion, you need to know:

bullet

Are you really pregnant?

bullet

Is your pregnancy normal? Or are you at risk for natural miscarriage? Or do you have a tubal pregnancy requiring immediate medical attention?

bullet

How far along are you?

You may also be interested in knowing:

bullet

What kind of abortions are available to you?

bullet

What are your rights with abortion providers?

bullet

Are there any short-term or long-term risks to consider?

We can help you understand your choices and your pregnancy, discuss your health and explain your abortion options.

2. Adoption

You have lots of choices with adoption. Will it be open or closed? Will it be private or will you use an agency? You are in the driver's seat when making an adoption plan and there are lots of things to consider if you:

bullet

Don't want an abortion and aren't ready to be a parent.

bullet

Want to provide your child with a 2-parent family.

bullet

Want to provide your child emotional and financial stability.

In today's adoptions, you can know your child and be a part of your child's life. You can have the peace of knowing your child is loved and cared for by the couple you choose.

We can help you understand your options with adoption.

3. Parenting

You may have more questions than answers about parenting or maybe the thought of becoming a parent seems impossible to you at this time. We've talked to hundreds of clients who are concerned about things like this:

bullet

My husband or boyfriend doesn't want the baby but I do.

bullet

(for men) My girlfriend doesn't want the baby but I do.

bullet

I can't tell my family.

bullet

How will I finish school?

bullet

How will I continue working?

bullet

Where will I live?

bullet

I don't have medical insurance.

bullet

I can't afford a child.

bullet

I'm too young.

We can talk about all these issues with you so you can decide if parenting is right for you.
